    Job Title: Education Specialist

    The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College seeks a service-minded individual who is committed to performing high-quality work to fill fill an Education Specialist position within PDP’s Department of Child Welfare Training.  This position is 100% remote and requires regular travel throughout New York State.   

    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
    Under the direction of the program manager or designee, provide instructor-led classroom-based delivery of continuing professional education programming for state staff, caseworkers and supervisors of local Departments of Social Service and voluntary agencies to support effective casework practices.  Duties include, but are not limited to:
    ⦁    Delivering training on project topics including, but not limited to, FASP, Progress Notes, and other documentation-related Special Topics to state staff, caseworkers and supervisors of local Departments of Social Service and voluntary agencies.
    ⦁    Assisting in review and development of curriculum materials to assure quality and conformance with project objectives.
    ⦁    Conducting training needs assessments and interpreting/using training evaluation data to inform training delivery plans.
    ⦁    Maintaining complete records of training programs, content, activities, and evaluations in accordance with procedures, as well as preparing routine reports.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1.    Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting institution.
    2.    Minimum of one year in workforce training and training-related experience.
    3.    Minimum of two years’ experience in a local social services district or agency providing child welfare services.
    4.    Knowledge of recent federal and New York State child welfare initiatives.
    5.    Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups, handle multiple priorities, and work under   pressure.
    6.    Applicants must address in their application their abilities to work with a culturally diverse population.
    7.    Ability to learn new processes and become familiar with training content in a timely fashion.
    8.    Excellent writing, speaking, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
    9.    Demonstrated proficiency in computer use, specifically Microsoft products.
    10.    Ability to travel regularly throughout NYS to deliver trainings and attend meetings, including travel to areas that may not be served by public transportation, and the ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    1.    Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization in Human Services or a related field.
    2.    Additional experience working in the child welfare field and/or providing supervision in child welfare services.
    3.    Experience in curriculum development.

    COMPENSATION: Salary is expected to be $50,000 - $53,493 (annual).

The Perkins Goal Coordinator focuses on overseeing and monitoring program compliance, activities relating to the evaluation and enhancement of CTE programs of study including data collection and reporting.  The Coordinator reports to the Grant Project Director.

    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

    • Coordinate the Perkins Grant major efforts, monitor progress towards goals and outcomes, within Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC).
    • Conduct the day-to-day tasks related to the monitoring of progress of CTE programs
    • Coordinate and monitor Perkins grant operations to ensure integrity in the delivery of these services.
    • Make recommendations on Perkins operations regarding performance outcomes to Project Director.
    • Work collaboratively with Research Foundation and REOC administrators, faculty and staff.

    The Research Foundation for the State University of New York is seeking a Lab Technology Coordinators (LTCs) for its ATTAIN program, a system of technology labs utilized to promote digital parity in New York State.

    Job Summary:
    ATTAIN (Advanced Technology Training and Information Networking) is a statewide technology initiative funded by New York State to provide urban and rural communities access to training and technology.

    ATTAIN provides access to academic, occupational, life skills and workplace readiness training in coordination with local community-based host agencies. The ATTAIN team is looking for qualified candidates to join their team as ATTAIN Lab Coordinators in Manhattan, NY at the following location:

    Reporting to the SUNY UCAWD ATTAIN Statewide Coordinator, the ATTAIN Lab Coordinator will provide on-site and remote coordination and facilitation of activities contained in the ATTAIN lab. These include participant intake, needs assessment, software navigation support, IT support training and overall lab management. In coordination with their local community-based host agency and ATTAIN project staff, this position will work to achieve the enrollment, usage and outcomes specified in their performance objectives and Program Year Plan (PYP).

    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

    • Proficient delivery of ATTAIN services and self-paced resources (e.g., Academic Preparation, Career and Technical Education, ESL and Language Learning), Microsoft Certification training resources and any additional online third-party resource(s)
    • Conduct ATTAIN enrollment process and maintain participant records
    • Determine participant Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) eligibility
    • Facilitate remote and in person orientation and training to enrolled participants
    • Proctor certification exams through ATTAIN's Certiport Authorized Testing Centers
    • Create and maintain a clean, comfortable and orderly learning environment in the lab
