    Job Title: Coordinator of Workforce Innovation & Training
    Location:    SUNY Adirondack
    Full/Part Time:     Full time

    SUNY Adirondack is a teaching- and learning-centered community college, which fosters a diverse and equitable learning environment for students of all ages, backgrounds, goals, and learning styles.     DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
    The Coordinator of Workforce Innovation & Training will have responsibility for planning and implementing a broad range of workforce training programs, including grant-funded training and courses that lead to NYS licensure. Outreach and relationship building with the business community is required to support student learning outcomes through management of the internship process and development of apprenticeship opportunities.

    Additional major responsibilities for the Coordinator of Workforce Innovation & Training include:

    • Plan, implement, and evaluate non-credit and open enrollment courses to meet career preparation & professional development needs;
    • Assist with the development and delivering existing and new non-credit workforce programs in a variety of modalities and settings, including the Queensbury campus, SUNY Adk Saratoga, live virtual, fully online, and at community sites;
    • Manage and maintain documentation required for courses registered with New York State;
    • Act as the primary point of contact for faculty and the business community for the internship documentation process;
    • Identify and create opportunities to promote courses and market them effectively through a variety of channels including email, web pages, social media, events, and print media;
    • Assist with the research, writing and coordination, management, and reporting of grant-funded workforce training opportunities;
    • Have primary responsibility for planning and organizing the Startup Adk entrepreneurship and small business support course;
    • Act as the liaison between college and community organizations as needed;
    • Maintain contact with local businesses and organizations to keep abreast of workforce needs and trends, promote courses and programs, and applied learning opportunities for students;
    • Assist with coordinating contract training programs as needed;
    • Participate on college committees as appropriate;
    • Other duties as assigned by the President.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1.    Bachelor’s degree
    2.    3-5 years of appropriate experience; preferably in a higher education environment.
    3.    strong oral and written communication skills
    4.    project management skills
    5.    proficiency with all standard MS Office products
    6.    Embraces teamwork and collaboration

     PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Master’s degree preferred
    • Experience with Ellucian software and social media tools is preferred
    • Demonstrated experience with workforce development or design and delivery of training programs for adults is preferred.
    • Experience with grants management is preferred
    COMPENSATION: Salary is expected to be $23.58/hour (annualized $45,998)

    Job Description:
    Consultants will review and provide assistance in development of curricula and other project resources and materials, take part in delivery of select trainings and assist in programming that serves youth in foster care, and their caseworkers and/or foster parents.

    Teach one or more courses in the Wine Marketing/Hospitality degree program. Organize, supervise and teach the students accurately the standards and methods of the basics of Mixology.     3. Five recent years working professionally and consistently in a management and/or training capacity for a business or possessing professional credentials such as WSET or membership with the Bartenders Guild will be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
    4.  Evidence of professional training and excellence in this profession is required. Candidates must be able to demonstrate efficient and updated methods of using the technology/software required for assigned courses.
    5. Bartending Instructor qualifications:
      • Experienced Bartender (5 yrs. minimum)

    The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College seeks a service-minded individual who is committed to performing high-quality work to fill a Trainer/Education Specialist position within PDP’s Department of Temporary Assistance Training in Albany, NY.

    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

    Under direction of the Department Manager or designee, this position delivers in-person classroom and virtual classroom/online education and training programs and supports program and NYS policy initiatives as assigned. Duties include but are not limited to delivering in-person classroom training throughout NYS; delivering virtual classroom/online training using e-learning technology; updating, maintaining, and developing instructional materials (print and digital); and performing research for and assisting in the design of curriculum, related materials, and visual aids for a variety of performance-based training. Perform other duties as assigned to meet contract requirements. Full-time position. Ability to work variable days and work hours, travel regularly throughout NYS, and lift and carry up to 40 lbs. required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1.     Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization, in Adult Education, Communications, English, Social Science, or related field, and one year of experience working in a social services setting or in the delivery of adult training programs.
    2.     Excellent writing, speaking, training delivery, group facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
    3.     Demonstrated ability to research subject matter, review program evaluation data, prepare an analysis of data gathered and assembled, and prepare training curricula and materials.
    4.     Working knowledge of adult learning principles and training methods.
    5.     Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple tasks.
    6.     Strong attention to detail.
    7.     Strong team and customer orientation.
    8.     Demonstrated ability to coordinate activity with colleagues in a positive manner and effectively work independently as well as with teams under supervision.
    9.     Demonstrated proficiencies using Microsoft products, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Edge, and document and presentation templates.

    11.     Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    1.     Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization, in Adult Education, Communications, English, Social Science, or related field.
    2.     Three years of experience delivering training to adults.
    3.     Specific knowledge of, or experience in the delivery of, public welfare programs: especially Temporary Assistance, SNAP, Employment and Advancement Services, HEAP, or Child Support Enforcement; or the administrative/fair hearings process, welfare fraud investigations, or audit/quality improvement initiatives.
    4.     Proficiency in the use of e-learning/webinar technology (i.e., Webex).
    5.     Experience working within a state or county social services agency.


    SPECIAL NOTES: Employment is with The Research Foundation for The State University of New York, a private, nonprofit, educational corporation that administers sponsored program activity for the University at Albany. Salary is expected to be in the low $50s.     DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
    The project focus is to Translate technical information on New York State (NYS) proprietary systems into training materials and system documentation for end users. The position will also provide instructor-led classroom, one-on-one, and virtual classroom training, and training support on NYS proprietary systems. Duties include, but are not limited to: designing, writing, and producing instructional materials, technical manuals, and job aids; developing training project plans and determining appropriate training methods; delivering training and training support through various methods, including classroom training, one-on-one training, and through virtual classroom technology; researching, evaluating, testing, and implementing other training technologies; developing training needs assessments; assisting in the coordination of project activities; composing project plans and reports; and working closely with NYS staff as needed to implement project deliverables.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Under the direction of the manager or designee, this position will support the deployment and use of New York State (NYS) proprietary and/or off-the-shelf computer applications by delivering instructor-led classroom-based and virtual classroom technology training. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    •     Deliver classroom, online/distance learning, and one-on-one training and training support.
