    Job Title: Adjunct Faculty – Graphic Design
    Location: Tompkins Cortland Community College
    Date:  Spring 2022 – 01/26/22 – 05/20/22

    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
    Teach one or more courses in the Graphic Design degree program.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a similar program such as Visual Communications, Digital Media and Design, New Media or New Media and Design, Graphic and Web Design. etc. The program catalog/description for the bachelor’s degree program should state the degree is intended for careers in graphic design and/or web design with a transcript showing courses in typography, layout design, graphic design, and digital and web-based media.
    A Master’s degree in a studio art program related to the field of graphic design such as printmaking or illustration will be considered. A Master’s degree in graphic design or a field directly related to skills required in the graphic design profession such as web design, new media digital design, motion graphics/video, photography, animation, UX/UI design, or interactive design is preferred. A portfolio website consisting of professional work in both graphic & web design that shows a professional career as a graphic & web designer with marketing experience is required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Experience teaching college-level design courses, with an ability to teach in person, or in a remote environment is preferred, as is a portfolio of student work that displays both the use of traditional and digital media, examples of projects that are relevant to the current market trends in the graphic design field, and strong design thinking.

    COMPENSATION: Per credit hour dependent upon experience ($925 - $1,130).

    Responsible for the management of the College's Information Technology computer systems. Serves as the system administrator of the Campus Datacenter.     DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
    The Director of Strategic Marketing has responsibility for visionary leadership in the College’s enrollment marketing strategy, recruitment initiatives, public relations, meaningful messaging and branding expertise for Tompkins Cortland Community College.  The Director oversees the entire marketing and communication effort including the development and implementation of a strategic marketing and branding plan.  Coordinates with departments across the College to increase student enrollment, manage external communications and the College’s identity and image.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    1- Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years’ experience or a Master’s degree in marketing, public relations, business, or related field and five (5) years’ experience. 
    2- Experience in marketing, including expertise in the development and implementation of strategic marketing, communication, and branding plans in a higher education setting. 
    3- Supervision experience.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Experience in a higher education setting.

    COMPENSATION: Salary is expected to be in the $75,610 - $94,512 range.  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Works with the leadership of workforce partnerships to develop and implement a strategic employer relations program in order to connect students with professional opportunities, help meet the recruiting and workforce training needs of area employers, and contribute to local economic development.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1.  Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related fields.
    2.  Liberal arts and other majors will be considered and a minimum of three years of experience within a university or business/industry environment involving career and employment topics, communications, sales/marketing, or other business development functions.  
    3.  Knowledge of career planning and job search strategies.

     
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Master's degree.  
    2. Experience with college recruiting, from a higher education or a business perspective.  
    3. Experience in marketing, event planning, and/or program development.  
    4. Familiarity/comfort with career-related software and webpage design/editing.  
    5. Grant writing knowledge and experience.


    COMPENSATION: Salary is expected to be in the $54,602 - $68,253 range.  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
