Job Title: System Administrator  
Location: Tompkins Cortland Community College
Full/Part Time: Full time

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Responsible for the management of the College's Information Technology computer systems. Serves as the system administrator of the Campus Datacenter. Provides recommendations for main system component purchases. Serves as the primary liaison to technical staff from vendor partners that supply the College’s system hardware and infrastructure components. This position works in coordination and shares in some of the same responsibilities as the Sr. System Administrator. Provides high quality service to users, including faculty, staff and students. Diagnoses and repairs server software, hardware, and network related equipment.

 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or closely related field and one year of directly related work experience or an Associate's degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems or closely related field with five years of directly related work experience. Must have experience working in a modern LAN and knowledge of network management and server operating systems including W
indows Server and Microsoft Active Directory. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with users, staff, and vendors. Must be able to lift and move computers and related hardware (estimated weight of 25 lbs.).


COMPENSATION: Salary is expected to be in the $55,421 – $69,276 - Starting salary will be commensurate with
qualifications and experience.
