Topic: Assessment & Improvement: Introduction to the Functional Area Review (FAR)
Description: Members of the Jamestown Community College Workforce Development team will introduce you to their Functional Area Review (FAR) process. The FAR provides a way for non-academic areas of the college to comply with the Middle States Culture of Evidence requirements, by assessing their processes, procedures, programming and outcomes on a consistent basis. This will be a high level overview of the FAR and how it is used. A more in depth session will be offered at the CEANY annual conference in November.

Grant is the director for Workforce Development at Jamestown Community College’s Jamestown location. Grant has been with JCC for over 14 years and oversees all of the workforce development programs at the Jamestown and North County locations. Grant has an M.S. in Adult Education from Buffalo State College and B.A. in Communications from Slippery Rock University.
Jackie is a program manager for Workforce Development at Jamestown Community College’s North County Center located in Dunkirk. Jackie has been with JCC for over 13 years and coordinates all of the workforce development programs at the Dunkirk location. Jackie has a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from SUNY at Fredonia
Kathleen is the director for Workforce Development at Jamestown Community College’s Cattaraugus County location in Olean. Kathleen has been with JCC for over 8 years and oversees all of the workforce development programs at the Olean location. Kathleen has a B.S. in Mathematics from St. Bonaventure University.
