Topic: Creating a High Quality Micro-Credential Program

Description:  Micro-credentials can be essential tools to help your institution meet changing student and workforce needs. This session will focus on the foundational elements of a high-quality, mission- and market-aligned micro-credential program, sharing the experiences of the SUNY System and other national models, and including best practices, pitfalls to avoid, and strategies to support this work. There is a niche for higher education in this increasingly competitive space!

Presenter: Cynthia Proctor



Cynthia Proctor is Director of Communications and Academic Policy Development in the Provost’s Office at the State University of New York (SUNY) System. She has supported SUNY campuses in the development of high-quality micro-credential programs since the SUNY micro-credential policy was adopted in 2018.
