Topic: City Mouse or Country Mouse? Contract Training Tips for your Region

Description: Contract Training is vital for workforce development in your region. Two community colleges will discuss best practices for contract training based on your region. Participants will: 

  • Learn how develop a contract training plan unique to your region;
  • Discuss contract development practices  
  • Share best practices for finding high -quality trainers;
  • Discuss funding to support employers' training needs
  • Share follow-up techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and increase repeat business.

Presenter: Kim Kendall, Senior Director, Adult and Continuing Education, LaGuardia
Community College. And Jeanne Eschbach, Executive Director of Workforce Education and Academic Pathways, SUNY Corning Community College

  

Kim is an MBA graduate with over 15 years of experience in designing successful adult education programs in Higher Education. Proven track record of leading high profile complex initiatives and creating innovative public-private partnerships and create complex contract, grant and tuition based budgets. Her specialties include budgeting, business process mapping, employee development/training and strategic leadership.

Jeanne Eschbach is the Executive Director of Workforce Education and Academic Pathways at SUNY Corning Community College.  Previous positions include: Dean of Continuing Education and Graduate Studies at Elmira College; Assistant Dean, School of Global and Professional Programs at Marist College and Director of Continuing Education at Corning Community College.  Jeanne’s degrees include: MA, Binghamton University and BA, University of Pennsylvania.  She also holds a Certificate of Mastery in Prior Learning Assessment from CAEL.  Additionally, she completed the Chairs Leadership Academy through Maricopa Community College.  Locally, she serves as the Chairperson of Corning Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and as a member of the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce Business and Education Roundtable, Southern Tier Economic Growth (STEG) Board, and Chemung-Schuyler-Steuben Workforce New York Board of Directors.
