Dave Tyler is the Social and Digital Media Manager at The College at Brockport.

In addition to writing content for the school's website, he also runs its various social media presences, does PR and marketing work, conceives, shoots, edits and produces videos for campus events and marketing activities.

He also helped launch the College's Social Media User Group, or SMUG, which meets monthly to discuss social media activities and issues.

Before coming to Higher Ed, Dave worked in public relations for the global PR firm Text100 where his duties including speechwriting for then Xerox COO Ursula Burns.

Before that, Dave spent more than 11 years in journalism, including 7 years with the (Rochester) Democrat and Chronicle.

Dave is also the publisher of Link: The Journal of Higher Education Web Professionals, an online magazine aimed at examining the role of the Web in Higher Education
