Settled beneath the shoulder of the breathtaking Shawangunk Ridge, New Paltz shines as one of the jewels of the Hudson Valley. As a shopping, dining, hiking and historic destination, New Paltz truly has something for everyone. From clothing, jewelry and shoes to fine art, unique craft items and antiques, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for in New Paltz’s uptown or downtown shopping districts. There is also the nearby walking trails of Wallkill Valley Rail Trail for you to explore and the Historic Huguenot Street, a National Historic Landmark District featuring seven unique stone houses dating to the early 1700s, a burial ground and a reconstructed 1717 stone church, all in their original setting.
After hitting the stores or the trails, dine among brew tanks at the Gilded Otter Brewing Co. We will enjoy a private dinner including appetizers, salad, and main entree. Besides the great Beer they brew, there is also a wonderful wine list of reds and whites available at the cash bar. We will then leave after dessert to return to Honor's Haven.
