The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College seeks a service-minded individual who is committed to performing high-quality work to fill  a Programming and End-User Support position in Albany, NY.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The Programming and End-User Support will provide C#, .NET, programming, and SQL database support for several custom-made customer facing and internal applications. This position is also responsible for assisting in the management of a PC-based network in a medium-sized educational environment, maintaining of inventory records, and for providing user support for software issues.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
⦁    Assist in the installation, maintenance, and backup of a PC-based network.        
⦁    Install and configure microcomputer hardware, workstation operating systems, network software and application software; repair, test, and replace computers and peripherals in a network environment.
⦁    Maintain and update web applications, provide user support for a variety of applications.
⦁    Maintain hardware and software inventory databases and other databases as assigned; prepare reports and research new technologies as needed.
⦁    Perform other duties as assigned to meet contract requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization in a related field;
2.    Experience programming, .NET application support, or hardware installation and maintenance;
3.    Experience in end-user support;
4.    Demonstrated experience with network hardware and software technology, Microsoft Windows troubleshooting, and Microsoft Office products;
5.    Good organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills;
6.    Applicants must address in their applications their abilities to work with a culturally diverse population;
7.    Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 40 lbs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    Three to five years’ programming C#, .NET frameworks and SQL, experience building and maintaining custom application or providing end-user application support;
2.    Three to five years’ experience supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows-based networks;
3.    Demonstrated experience providing software training and/or documentation.

COMPENSATION: Salary is expected to  be $60,000-$63,178 annually.
