Job Title: Adjunct Faculty, Mathematics
Location:    Tompkins Cortland Community College
Full/Part Time:     Fall Term 2022

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Tompkins Cortland Community College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach developmental, introductory, math education courses, statistics and upper-level courses in mathematics. Teaching assignments may involve teaching day, evening, online, hybrid, and HyFlex courses.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics/Mathematics Education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Community college teaching experience
  • Minimum 3 years of instructional experience in a post-secondary setting
  • Experience teaching in a co-requisite remediation model
  • Experience working in a multicultural setting with a diverse student population including non-traditional and underprepared students
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development in the best practices of pedagogy
  • Proficient in technology, including LMS, Word-Processing/Spreadsheets, Lecture Capture, Online homework platforms
  • Ph.D. in a field related to Mathematics

COMPENSATION:  $925 - $1,130 per credit hour dependent upon experience. Salary subject to change pending outcome of TC3 Adjunct Association negotiations.
