Session Description:
The pandemic has accelerated many known market factors as well as created new challenges for institutions of higher education. With unfavorable demographics for traditional learner's looming on the near horizon and a new economy evolving, it is critical to understand the complexity of the new adult learner. The pandemic changed their Values.  This new adult learner is younger and more savvy.  UPCEA has surveyed thousands of adult learner's in 2021 and will share their personas, nuances and preferences during this session. 


Bio: 
Jim Fong is the Chief Research Officer at UPCEA where he is responsible for trend and custom research for the association’s membership. Prior to joining UPCEA over a decade ago, Jim worked for Penn State University and its World Campus as the Director of Marketing, Research and Planning. He also teaches a number of marketing and research classes online for institutions such as the University of California Davis and Framingham State University in Massachusetts.

He holds multiple degrees from the University of Vermont, including a B.S. in Mathematics, M.S. in Statistics and an MBA. In his career and between and before his higher education stints, Jim has worked for a number of consulting companies and marketing firms.  He has also published a number of articles on the marketing of higher education and enrollment management.
