    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
    The project focus is to Translate technical information on New York State (NYS) proprietary systems into training materials and system documentation for end users. The position will also provide instructor-led classroom, one-on-one, and virtual classroom training, and training support on NYS proprietary systems. Duties include, but are not limited to: designing, writing, and producing instructional materials, technical manuals, and job aids; developing training project plans and determining appropriate training methods; delivering training and training support through various methods, including classroom training, one-on-one training, and through virtual classroom technology; researching, evaluating, testing, and implementing other training technologies; developing training needs assessments; assisting in the coordination of project activities; composing project plans and reports; and working closely with NYS staff as needed to implement project deliverables.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1.     Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization, in education, management, information science, or related field.
    2.     A minimum of three years’ related experience developing training curricula/reference manuals/software documentation.
    3.     Experience conducting technology-related training or other training support/teaching experience.
    4.     Strong proficiency with the MS Office suite and SharePoint.
    5.     Demonstrated ability to successfully work under pressure and attend to details, as well as effectively work on multiple projects with competing priorities/deadlines.
    6.     Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated proficiency with English language grammar/usage.
    7.     Strong knowledge of instructional design.
    8.     Experience researching/using distance learning technologies or developing distance learning materials.
    9.     Experience translating complex business systems and concepts for diverse audiences and audiences that may include varying degrees of technical knowledge.

    • Experience with employer, funder and staff engagement.

    • Alerting the program manager of students needs related to job readiness and employment assistance so that appropriate connections can be made to the Workforce1 Career Center, and the funders
