The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to design, develop, and maintain interactive e-learning products in a variety of human service and policy-related topics for an adult audience. The right candidate will combine e-learning authoring skills with a passion for creating instructionally sound and engaging e-learning courses in accordance with workplans and timelines. Applicants should have a minimum of two years’ experience in e-learning development using Lectora or an equivalent authoring tool.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
·        Work with program sponsors, subject matter experts, curriculum writers, and graphic designers to design, develop, and publish engaging web-based training projects on a variety of subjects using the Lectora authoring tool (or equivalent) while conforming to accessibility standards and guidelines.
·       
Update and maintain existing Lectora modules, track revisions in change charts, and publish to a variety of learning management systems. Create design documents, storyboards, flowcharts, and prototypes to illustrate instructional and technical approaches.
·       
Provide thorough quality assurance testing for e-learning modules.
·       
Create work plans, design documents, storyboards, flowcharts, and prototypes to illustrate instructional and technical approaches.
·       
Work with managers, developers, and program sponsors to conceptualize new projects and recommend approaches to meet project deliverables.
·       
Conduct usability and accessibility tests and generate reports and related documentation.
·       
Research, recommend, and document best practices, development standards, and appropriate technologies to enhance web-based learning components and approaches.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.     Bachelor's Degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
2.    
Minimum two years of experience in e-learning design and development.
3.    
Experience using the Lectora (or equivalent) authoring tool to develop and publish e-learning products.
4.    
Working knowledge of web development standards, including accessibility guidelines.
5.    
Ability to work under pressure and meet posted deadlines.
6.    
Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse groups.
7.    
Ability to handle multiple projects.
8.    
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
9.    
Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and technologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    
Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
2.    
Additional years of experience in e-learning development.
3.    
Experience with learning management systems.
4.    
Practical experience in web development.

COMPENSATION: Salary is expected to be in the Low $60s 

FLSA:  Exempt
