The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College seeks a service-minded individual who is committed to performing high-quality work to fill a Training Program Coordinator position within PDP’s Department of Child Welfare Training in Albany, NY.  

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Department Manager, position provides leadership, direction, supervision, and feedback to project teams to conduct activities related to the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of continuing professional education programming for caseworkers and supervisors of local Departments of Social Service and voluntary agencies. The Training Program Coordinator oversees projects and personnel, and coordinates project activities to ensure the timely delivery and quality of all training work plans. Additional duties include coordinating with program sponsors, reviewing evaluation data and program revisions/improvement as necessary, and preparing and submitting reports for administrative and sponsor review.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization in Social Welfare, or a related field.
2.    Two years’ experience in the development and delivery of outcome-based training curricula in the area of child welfare.
3.    Knowledge of adult education theory and experience with adult learners.
4.    Staff supervision experience.
5.    Demonstrated proficiency with oral and written skills.
6.    Applicant must address in their application their abilities and experience in working with a culturally diverse group of people.
7.    Ability to deal with multiple priorities/competing deadlines in a team setting.
8.    Demonstrated proficiency in computer use, specifically Microsoft products.
9.    Ability to travel regularly throughout NYS to deliver trainings and attend meetings, including travel to areas that may not be served by public transportation.
10.    Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization in Social Welfare, or a related field.
2.    Experience working with recent federal and New York State child welfare initiatives.
3.    Three or more years’ experience in the development and delivery of outcome-based training curricula in the area of child welfare
4.    Experience in the development and delivery of child welfare services and programs in NYS.
5.    Prior experience in project management and/or administration.

COMPENSATION: Salary is expected to be in the $72,454 - $75,454 (Annually). This position is eligible for an added, one-time $1,500 sign-on bonus payable after successful completion of a six-month orientation period
