The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College seeks a service-minded individual who is committed to performing high-quality work to fill a Senior Education Specialist position located in Albany, NY.


DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The Senior Education Specialist will be responsible for providing media production and direction for media broadcasts, long form videos, audio records, and web-based media assets. Duties include, but are not limited to: Develop storyboards and timelines for video and web-based projects; work on scene development, lighting and composition on location or in the studio; assist with supporting staff in the studio or during field production in the following roles: Video Director, Technical Director, Camera Operator, Audio Operator, Producer, Character Generator Operator, and Teleprompter Operator; photograph using digital video camera and/or still camera acquisitions systems on location and in the studio; edit video content using Adobe Premiere, Avid Non Linear Edit System technologies or equivalent; design special visual effects utilizing digital, graphic technologies and choosing the appropriate music and audio; co-manage media in the Edit Share Storage system; implement new ideas and technologies based on evaluation and analysis of video training; duplicate master videos and DVD’s using robotic, media duplication systems; represent the Professional Development Program at professional conferences and meetings; and other duties as assigned to meet project deliverables.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1)    Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization in a related field and at least 3-5 years’ hands-on production background in video production.
2)    Experience in electronic field production and graphic special effects production.
3)    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4)    Applicants must address in their applications their abilities to work with a culturally diverse population.
5)    Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
6)    Ability to occasionally travel on project business within NYS, including travel to areas that

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    Information Technology experience.
2.    Ability to speak Spanish.

COMPENSATION: Salary is expected to be in the Low $60s

FLSA: -Exempt
