Concurrent Session Monitor

If there is a conference attendee you would prefer to introduce you and your presentation, please email with the conference attendee's name, phone number and email. If you do not recommend a concurrent session monitor by October 24th, one will be assigned for you.

This person would be considered a Concurrent Session Monitor and will be provided with all the necessary information to make your presentation run smoothly. Here are other duties:

• Keep the session on schedule
• Greet presenter and attendees
• Introduce and thank presenter (script provided)
• Distribute handouts (presenter provides)
• Assist in seating if the rooms get crowded
• Make announcements (script provided)
• Give gifts to presenters (provided)
• Distribute and collect evaluation forms and return to the Registration Desk

Presentation Guidelines

All sessions will be 60 minutes. Feel free to use the sample outline below as a guidepost when developing your presentation:

• Introduction of participants/icebreaker (5 min.)
• Presentation of topic (20 min.)
• Response to presentation/question and answer (15 min.)
• Small group exercise (15 min.)
• Evaluation (5 min.)

Presentation Requirements

• Have all presenters and co-presenters register for the conference once registration is open.
• Adhere to all copyright laws
• Provide at least 20 handouts (the Conference will not have the ability to print handouts; it is the presenters responsibility to provide a sufficient amount)
• Utilize a PowerPoint presentation and/or other highly active presentation format
• Bring your own laptop (the Conference will provide a LCD projector, screen, flipcharts and markers)
• Provide an educational session and not commercial
• Provide an electronic image of a headshot of yourself and co-presenters

Deadlines

July 18 - Email the following:

• confirming that you agree to present at CEANY's Annual Conference and agree to the Presentation Guidelines and Deadlines,
• providing us with any further information if requested by the conference planning committee, and
• sending us headshot images of yourself and co-presenters (individual headshots, not group photos)

October 31

• Email an electronic copy of your presentation (MS PowerPoint) and/or handouts (MS Word) to .
